Editor-Tested: Denim Refinery's "Refinement" Treatment There are pairs of jeans I would never dream of parting with, but there are also a handful that I wouldn't mind never seeing again (exhibit A: The above dark-wash skinnies and vintage mini skirt that I've hoarded since sixth grade). But my disdain for my old denim vanished when I realized I could refurbish the pieces to make them feel current, and a little more fun too. Denim Refinery, one of the 107 new digital services we featured in our November issue's Best of Digi feature, will take your boring blues and rework them with different treatments to bring them up to date, including (but not limited to) laser dip-dye, silver sheen, and even a destroyed finish that could take years to acquire through regular wear. I opted for the metallic treatment, because I want to inject some Lady Gaga into my nightlife wardrobe, and I was happily pleased with the chromed-out result.
