Look Who We Met: Leon Bridges Since I cover InStyle's music beat, I get to speak with a fair share of up-and-coming artists. And after months of waiting for Leon Bridges to visit N.Y.C., I was inordinately excited to meet him before his show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Channeling a young Sam Cooke, he walks, talks, and dresses like he's living in the 1950s (note the loop collar shirt and wingtip Oxfords), but I was admittedly surprised to find out that–despite his apparent fascination with the halcyon days of soul–he grew up listening to artists like Usher and Ginuwine.
